Granite stone blocks are extracted from our two quarries on Bodmin Moor, Cornwall. They can be used as feature stones, to build granite walls and other uses. The images below show examples of the granite blocks we have supplied. This image shows selected regular shaped granite blocks which our client has used to form a garden retaining wall in a housing development. In this case each granite block weighed approximately one tonne. This provided an attractive retaining wall which was built quickly using hydraulic excavators to place the granite blocks into place. These granite blocks were used as features at the front of a new supermarket. This image shows a stockpile of granite blocks in the quarry. We select these into various sizes. Our granite blocks are extracted from either Caradon Quarry or Golddiggings Quarry in Cornwall. Both are located on Bodmin Moor. These Cornish Granite Quarries have been producing stone for over 100 years. The granite blocks shown in these pictures are taken from old stockpiles of granite block which were extracted from the quarries some time ago and were originally tipped as quarry waste. We now recycle these waste tips, either supplying whole blocks or breaking the stone down into smaller granite blocks for sale as hammered or cropped granite walling stone.
